Technology and Sustainability
As a company of Architects and Architectural Technologists we recognise the responsibility we have to reduce the environmental impact of our work as much as possible and we are dedicated to providing a service that minimises the energy use of buildings, both in the construction process and use of the building.
At ALO we have a transport policy that encourages the use of cycles and public transport as a means of getting to work and public transport is used for site visits where possible. If a car is required for clients or site visits we provide a chauffeur service but aim to use this as little as possible.
Having trained with the green register and code for sustainable homes we are able to offer sustainable design advice to our clients.
We are also members of the Passivhaus Trust, the International Passive House Association and the AECB (Association for Environment Conscious Buildings).
We are committed to working closely with our clients not only during the design stage of a project but beyond completion of design and construction. Our client log-in service allows clients to keep track of their project and its progress both before and after completion.
